We live in a world ruled by technology (and how fitting to write about apps during Aquarius season lol). As much as we might want to escape it, we can’t. Our smartphones are central to everything - our bank cards, calendars, music, news, social lives... literally EVERYTHING is connected.
So, I wanted to share three apps I swear by. These have genuinely made my life easier and more intentional. And no, this isn’t sponsored - just sharing the love with my community. Let’s talk about the apps that help me stay organized, mindful, and balanced.
App #1: Structured 📅💖
This app is my daily lifesaver for organizing my day. I have the pro version because I love all the extra features. With Structured, I can plan my day to the T. And I'm a virgo rising so that is important for me. It sends reminders for tasks, lets me block off time to focus, and even has an AI feature that takes all my tasks and plans my day within seconds. I'm very busy so that feature is one of my favorites.
Even if I don’t stick to my schedule perfectly, having a plan and those little notifications has drastically improved my productivity. I’m 100% the type of person who loves going with the flow, but this app gives me much needed structure (no pun intended, lol).
One feature I’m obsessed with is “Energy Levels.” If you’re like me and like to cycle sync, this is a game changer. You can set your energy level for the day and assign energy requirements to your tasks. The app then lets you know when you’re approaching your energy limit. It’s a simple way to respect your body’s rhythms and avoid burnout.
I’ve been using Structured for over a year now, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to boost productivity while staying in tune with their energy.

App #2: Insight Timer 🧘🏽♀️🪷
If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably seen me rave about this app a million times. This app was actually recommended to me by a friend! I also have the pro version of this one.
Insight Timer is a mindfulness and meditation app. It has everything: guided meditations, workshops, sound healing, breathwork, timers for silent meditations, and more. It even sends you daily reminders, inspirational quotes, and tracks your meditation streaks.
Every morning at 5:00 a.m., I get a little reminder that says, “Hi beauty, don’t forget to meditate.” It’s such a sweet reminder (that I made for myself lol) to start my day mindfully.
Right now, I’m on day 87 (the screenshot below is from yesterday) of my 100 Days of Breathwork challenge, and Insight Timer has been my sidekick through it all. I also use it throughout the day for quick meditations or affirmations whenever I feel anxious or overwhelmed. It’s become my go to for mindfulness moments instead of doomscrolling.
I've been using this app for over three years. If you’re looking to cultivate mindfulness or deepen your meditation practice, this app is a must-have.

App #3: ScreenZen 🚫📱
Okay, so I JUST discovered this app about a month ago, and it’s already a 10/10 for me. It’s free, but they encourage donations to support the developers (and honestly, it’s worth it).
ScreenZen is perfect for anyone exploring digital minimalism. It helps limit distractions by setting boundaries around your app usage. You can choose which apps to limit during specific hours, how many times per day you can open them, and even set timers for how long you’re allowed to use them once you’re in.
Before you access a restricted app, a black screen with a timer appears. It might prompt you to “Take a moment to breathe” or ask, “Why are you checking this app?” You can even set it to redirect you to a different app instead - I have my social media apps redirect me to Insight Timer.
Here’s how I use it:
Social media apps: 10-second timer every time I try to open them.
Work-related apps: Locked on Sundays (my rest day).
Text messages: Restricted from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., so I’m not distracted during work hours.
Actually, this morning, a friend of mine joked that my phone is like Fort Knox because it’s so hard to get through to me now, lol. And honestly? I LOVE it. This app has made me feel so much less overwhelmed by my phone. Sometimes, I don’t even bother opening apps because I’m too lazy to jump through the hoops.

Final Thoughts
I hope these app recommendations help anyone looking to simplify their life and embrace a more intentional, mindful approach to technology. Let me know if you're already using any of these!!
